GEFFE Announces Fall 2011 Award Winners

On October 26, the GEFFE board, announced the distribution of $15,131 of grants to teachers from the Early Childhood Center to the High School.  That biggest recipient this year was the young robotics program in the middle school and high school, receiving almost $11,000 as it integrates math, engineering, and physics into a practical application.  Judging of the recipients on includes innovation in bringing new ideas to the Grove Public Schools, and the robotics program has certainly done that.  As one person said, would it not be nice to see families moving into our community because of our innovative math and science curriculum . The grants are listed in their entirety under the "Grants" tab..  The picture at right is of Elaine Pagels and Kristi Wallace on each end, giving a grant to Jeane Smith and Don Malone.
